Where Have I Been

I guess it's been quite a while since I have posted anything of any substance, or written anything at all for that matter. My brain has not quite recovered from the pregnancy mush, and frankly we are just in baby nirvana over here! Downtime isn't spent writing, it's spent playing with the baby, talking about the baby, or watching the baby sleep while sighing about how adorable he is. We all love having a baby in the house. It is such a gift and we are just savoring every second of it. And it is such a joy to see my older children so in love with him, so thrilled to have a new sibling.

Although Eli has reminded me a few times that Titus will get spankings when he is older :)

And Ezra has started sucking his thumb :0 So, more time is spent on snuggling with the littles too.

And then there is the matter of the house... And people still want to eat. 3 TIMES A DAY!! And my other half is missing.

All that to say, we're busy :) And while I have much I am thinking about, and frequently intend to blog about, I just never seem to have the time to put it into a coherent and interesting format :)

But I'll try harder. Really. I will. Tomorrow :)

I know the feeling. Aren't babies so incredible? The other day our little kids had a huge monstrosity of a beanbag, orange and hideous, in our living room, pretending that it was a "ship". They were playing a game with the catchy title of, "Family" (involving a dad, mom, and baby; Daniel, Mally and Whitney respectively) and using coathangers as oars to sail the world 'round.
Whoever said that children are a gift from God was onto something.

I have missed you! Glad you're back and I can't wait to see you for Thanksgiving. It's going to be one wild party! I don't know where we're all gonna sleep :). Let's see, 21 people and 7 dogs.....

LOL about getting spankings when he's older.

We've been busy too. I was away from home for over a month house sitting and then it took me over 2 weeks to start to get back into the swing of things. But I think I am back on track now...I hope. LOL

Are you using Ambleside Online? Someone pointed me in that direction and I am SOOO thankful. So far, it is fitting us very well. And it doesn't hurt that the cost is very low! I've been keeping a list of books we'll need to take with me to book sales. And I try to get to any and all book sales in my area. There's one this week!
